FREsh bakEd: KGD tanks

Everyone at CAL wants to start the year off right... and the girls from Kappa Gamma Delta definitely are headed the right direction! They had a very vibrant and colorful idea with their next shirt design specifically for the beginning of Rush Week. Designed with a three toned fluorescent color theme...these tanks are definitely going to turn heads....

FREsh bakEd: PHISH tees!

Gracing the bay area with their presence, the legendary PHISH are in town this weekend as they perform at the Greek Theater @ UC Berkeley. And commemorating their arrival Fantasy T-Shirts created some exclusive tees for the show! (designs were provided by Allen Gaoiran)

These tees were printed using standard 6.1 oz unisex garments with our Fantasy T-Shirts I-DOT. With a full color print and a soft hand feel these shirts are definitely one of a kind collectors items!

a bit of aloha....

We finished up day 2 in Honolulu with some shopping on the Waikiki shopping strip   ....my sister and Mike decided to support the cause and pick up a few of AREA surf's new line of shirts exclusively made by Fantasy and for the islands.

Mike is at a small shop in Waikiki called Coco Cove checking out Area Surf's Heading Out tee.

We finished up the day with an authentic Hawaiian luau at Paradise Cove. I have to say..... the food was amazing. The Kalua pork with rice was juicy and full of flavor. I went up for seconds and found myself heading back to the line later for thirds. The fresh salmon poke' was delicious with a little bit of zest and definitely complimented the rest of the meal....not to mention my mai tais....

....but what is a Luau without any hula dancers... We couldn't have asked for a better performance as the hula girls for the evening danced away with the beautiful sun setting perfectly behind them......
Tomorrow? .......surf lesson @ Turtle Bay in the Northeast side of Oahu with the man himself, Denis Scott. Catch you in a few!

Day 1 on the island......

Definitely by far one of the most relaxing "first days on a trip" I've had in a while. Not more than an hour after we touchdown into Honolulu International Airport, we find ourselves posting up at a beach to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. We settle down quite nicely at a beautiful location called Kahala Beach where we enjoyed 83 degree weather and crystal clear blue skies. The water was no colder than 70 on the button. Couldn't get any better.....

A custom made sand cooler was created by yours truly and stocked to the brim with local brews from Kona Brewing Company. Quarter fades on the The Big Wave and Fire Rocks.......

Denis and Wendy treated us to something special at the end of the day....they took us to East Honolulu at the Eastermost end of Maunalua Bay to a place called the China Walls. A favorite among locals to catch a late evening wave, China Walls was the perfect spot to mingle with others and to gaze upon the sun as it sets for the night.

fresh baked: floral art

(red print on white american apparel fine jersey short-sleeve v-neck; 4.3 oz ring spun, combed cotton)

ladies & gents:

first of all, i am SO excited to be a part of this fabulous team and i can't wait to share with you all of the wonderful things that are baking in the oven here at freeberkeley!

fashion to me is an art form: from the colors to the textures to the pure aesthetics of looking at something so beautiful...there's nothing else like it. and what better way to celebrate fashion + art than taking your favorite artistic piece (like this local artist's own hand-drawn design pictured above) and immortalizing it forever on a truly one-of-a-kind piece of clothing.

xoxo,
courtney

Today marks a huge step towards increasing our production capabilities. We will be setting up a brand new M&R I-Dot printer at our shop. Purchased at the beginning of the year, the I-Dot will revolutionize the way we handle future customers with specific requests on single one-off shirts and small order runs. Stay tuned as we will be releasing more information and a commercial for the I-Dot soon!

(FreeB) Abracadabra!!

Historically, it is a word magicians used as an incantation prior to conjuring their spells, voodoo, and or wizardry. Recently, however, I overheard a couple sitting next to me using that word with a humorous end quote that would have been great on a shirt. "Abracadabra! .......shit you're still ugly"
Then, I thought....hmmm, there are lot of creative ways to finish up that quote.

Fill me in and comment on the bottom.... how would you make this a killer t-shirt:

Abracadabra!! _________________________________

(A panel of judges from Fantasy T-Shirts will be choosing among the entries which quote that bests exemplifies creativity and uniqueness. We are trying to get away from those redundant and boring shirt quotes you see everywhere people.....
WINNER will receive their quote on a shirt custom printed and shipped to them.... the only stipulation is that you send us a picture that we can post of you proudly wearing your shirt! ...let the games begin)

FREsh bakEd: Area Surf

Is a surf ever really just a surf?
Is a shirt ever really just a shirt?
AREA Surf says no.

"We choose to make – and take – the best of what life has to offer." A few words by good friend and founder of AREA Surf, Denis Scott has become somewhat a entrepreneurial phenomenon in the surf community by starting his own clothing line inspired by the surf culture he is very much apart of.

Here are a few snapshots of some pieces from his collection:

AREA spray hoodie is discharge printed for a smooth feel on a 9.5 oz 80/20 hooded
AREA beanie is 100% cotton grey w/ Khaki print
